What it is

An N-acetylated variant of Semax — the ACTH(4–7) fragment extended with Pro-Gly-Pro, with an acetyl group on the N-terminal amine. The acetylation is a stability modification at that terminus. As with Semax, NO DEFINED RECEPTOR HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED. Published work sits in the neuropeptide literature.

How it differs from Semax

Two terminal modifications, both readable from the formula. The N-terminal methionine amine carries an acetyl group, and the C-terminal carboxylic acid is an amide; Janoshik's report names the sample "NA semax amidate". Together they add C2H3N to Semax: C37H51N9O10S becomes C39H54N10O10S, and 813.9 g/mol becomes 855.0 g/mol. The result has its own registry entry ( 2920938-90-3, PubChem CID 172638603). Both termini are where exopeptidases cleave, which is why the modified form is studied in peptide-stability work. It comes in a 30 mg vial; Semax itself is a separate 5 mg listing with a separate report.
